On Thursday, July 10, 2025, the price of 22-karat gold is PKR 322,292 per tola, while the cost of 24-karat gold is PKR 351,500 per tola.  

What Determines the Price of 24K and 22K Gold?

The International Gold Market and the Sarafa Jewelers Association provided the data used to determine the current prices of 24K and 22K gold.

While 10 grams of 22-karat gold settled at Rs. 276,243, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs. 1,286 to Rs. 301,355.

At Rs. 3,841 and Rs. 3,293, respectively, the price of silver per tola and ten grams remained steady.

It is noteworthy that during the previous fiscal year, FY25, gold produced an outstanding 45% return, which was only surpassed by the KSE-100 Index’s 60% gains.  As a result, gold became the second-best-performing investment in FY 2025. 

Pakistan’s gold price drops by Rs. 3,000 per tola.

The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) reports that the price of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs. 3,000 per tola today, which represents a substantial decline in the gold price in Pakistan.

The price of gold in 24K is approximately Rs. 351,500, a difference of around Rs. 3,000.

The price of gold in 24K is Rs. 301,354 per 10 grams, which is about Rs. 2,572.

The price of 10 grams of 22K gold is approximately Rs. 2,763.51, equivalent to Rs. 2,763.51.

On the world market, too, the price of gold was going down. It dropped by $33 to $3,292 an ounce.

In Pakistan, on the other hand, silver prices stayed the same:

Cost of silver in 24K units: Rs. 3,841.

Rate of silver in 24K: Rs. 3,293 per 10 grams.

Around the world, an ounce of silver costs $36.57.

The most recent gold prices are in line with interbank exchange rates. The drop is due to changes in both the world market and local currencies.
