Elden Ring Nightreign, Ring’s upcoming multiplayer spin-off, will first overwhelm even the most hardcore fans.
Fortunately, specific strategies enable Nightfarers to overcome the Nightlord and survive the night.
Players can go on runs together or by themselves to defeat a Nightlord, a scary boss that they will face after two days of beating other players and getting stronger. To win, players must be able to think and act quickly.
Nightreign plays so differently, even though it bears the Elden Ring brand; the game’s name is speed, not the slow exploration of other FromSoftware releases.
Some experienced players may not like the change in pace, but these tips will help you and your team prepare for the night.
Most important is team camaraderie.
A successful run results from a strong team assembled first. Someone who can tank (Wylder, Raider, or Guardian) and a mix of the other characters should be in a group.
One person on the team should play a ranged character like an Irneye or a Recluse so that they can pick up people who have died in battle and heal them, or another player should take a ranged weapon to do the same thing.
In runs, this ability to perform from a distance is helpful.
Another component of team cohesion is having someone constantly strategise on demand.
Having a point person to map your team’s future actions will enable them to move forward without waiting to decide where to proceed.
Go for flasks first, then bosses if at all feasible.
Although additional flasks can be found, each character starts with three healing flasks.
Churches dotting the landscape typically house these brilliant orange flasks.
They should be given top priority, as having more than three flasks will be significantly more beneficial.
Ideally, you should proceed to the closest church while clearing camps along the way.
After two more flasks, concentrate on bosses.
If a church is too far away, fight through camps full of foes on the way to level out, while en route to the church.
Gathering all the weapons.
Nightreign’s weapons have passive bonuses that accumulate over time if you keep them in your bag.
Your character will significantly benefit from having six weapons with six boosts.
Furthermore, do not be concerned should you come across a weapon not meant for your character. A melee brute like the Raider could discover a magic wand with a buff that fits them specifically.
Though you might not want to equip them, shields provide some decent bonuses.
If you are a melee character, another strategy is to acquire a ranged weapon, such as a bow, in case a dropped item can help you revive colleagues from a distance when necessary.
Seek the ideal path.
A fantastic run depends on routing. To acquire levels and better equipment, you wish to empty the several dungeons, castles, mines, and camps.
Start with the outer sections and progressively work your way within; you have a certain amount of time until the storm circle closes.
Eventually, you will learn to time your camp clearances so that you finish just before the storm circle closes, allowing you to receive the last piece of rune and level up your character.
Look around you; you might overlook a chance to get assistance.
The map is filled with small areas featuring brilliant flowers, fire butterflies, and other elements that provide immediate buffs, such as finding more runes, clearing status ailments, or healing yourself.
One item to watch out for is scarabs.
These little creatures hover above a brilliant ball and emit a bell-tinkling sound, usually dropping talismans that give your character rewards equivalent to those obtained after defeating a boss.

Use consumables.
Although players will inevitably want to hold onto their consumables, resist that urge.
Use all of your consumables if you are working under the supervision of a supervisor.
There are many consumables scattered across the area, and they are helpful.
Run away without fear, please.
Even if staying in the storm circle causes minor damage, do not entice fate. You have to keep clear of the tempest.
When you are learning at camp and a storm approaches, it is crucial to take quick action.
Keep this in mind, especially if you’re in a mine or cave underground where the only way out is likely to be straight into the storm.
Don’t get too close to the storm until you know precisely when it will start. If you do go below the surface, keep an eye on the map to see when the circle begins to shrink.
One important point to remember is that the bosses you could have started fighting on day one and had to flee from will still be present on day two. Not only that, but after you flee, they won’t cure themselves.
Thus, your team’s strength and their inherent weakness make them easy targets.
Know when to overlook items and trash mobs.
Your team is likely at a random location when you drop onto the map, and you will find some low-level enemies close by. To reach level 3, you should eliminate all these lesser foes.
Additionally, random objects will be scattered around the map. While you should get these early on, once you get to level 3, you should concentrate on other areas.
In Nightrein, you need higher levels, better equipment, and buffs, which you won’t find in weak adversaries or the surroundings.
Once you reach high enough, ignore them completely since you won’t have additional time to eliminate them in your search for more formidable boss adversaries and potent upgrades.
Go for level 12.
It is impossible to overestimate the importance of being at the correct level during Nightlord combat. One level can be the distinction between an absolute loss and an effortless win.
Aim to be at least level 4 by the end of the first day, level 8 by the end of the second, and level 12 if you are up against the Nightlord.
Although you can defeat the bosses at levels below those advised, the battles will go far more easily the higher your level is.
Spend some time training at Roundtable Hold.
Roundtable Hold serves as more than just a centre for relic purchases, instructions, and character interactions.
Your development will reveal fresh material in the field.
For instance, once you acquire specific objects, New Nightfarers will unlock and engage with other NPCs.
This is especially true following a successful run since Roundtable Hold offers more learning opportunities.
Get on your own.
Every team member must know their strengths, how to equip themselves, and master the correct pattern of some bosses if they want to have a successful run.
Given your limited time and the company you are in, who prefers to keep going? That is difficult during a game. This is why several solo plays on your own could help you establish your footing with the game.
Go to the choices after clicking on the table at the Roundtable Hold to begin a solo run. A single-player run and a multiplayer run lie at the bottom of the options for you to select.
Ensure it’s a single-player game, then start playing by yourself.
Though you want to use this time to grow in knowledge of the game’s mechanics and your character, keep in mind that a solo run will be challenging.

Prepare for the surprising.
Lastly, it’s crucial to prepare for unforeseen circumstances. Random events are occurring throughout the game, including a bunch of opponents being transferred right on top of you, more bosses appearing during a boss battle, and even the Nightlords emerging as day one bosses.
You must be ready, as your match could end in a second.
For PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One, Elden Ring: Nightreign will be released on May 30 for $40.
Playing this game does not require owning the original Elden Ring.
