The Pakistan Army has launched large-scale relief operations to assist flood-affected communities across several cities and towns in Punjab, responding to the rising water levels and displacement of families.

Key Areas of Operation.
Relief efforts have been initiated in Lahore, Kot Momin, Gujrat, Sialkot, Midh Ranjha, Talibwala, and Hilalpur, where floodwaters have disrupted everyday life, damaged infrastructure, and left many families in urgent need of support.
Evacuation and Rescue Efforts.
Pakistan Army troops, in coordination with local administrations, are conducting evacuation missions to relocate residents from low-lying and high-risk areas to safer ground.
Boats and heavy vehicles are being used to reach stranded individuals and transport them to relief camps.
Relief Camps and Medical Assistance.
Temporary shelters and relief camps have established to provide accommodation for displaced families.
The Army has also set up medical camps, where doctors and paramedics are giving treatment for waterborne diseases and other health concerns caused by the floods.

Families who have harmed are getting ration packs, water, and food that they need. Children, women, and older people are among the most vulnerable groups that receive extra care to ensure their immediate needs are met.

Punjab wants the troops to help with flood relief in six districts.
Due to the expected heavy rainfall over the next 48 hours. PDMA has classified the province as having a “very high to exceptionally high” risk of flooding.

In the emergency, the Punjab government requested the deployment of armed forces in the districts of Lahore, Kasur, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Narowal, and Okara to protect lives and ensure that aid arrives quickly.

The Punjab Home Department states that local governments. Rescue Services, Civil Defence, and the police are already on the ground, diligently working to assist those who need it.
However, the situation could be dangerous. The provincial government has requested that the military assist the regular government and address any unexpected issues that may arise.
